This Mexican coffee is Fairtrade and Organic certified and grown in the Chiapas region. We’ve bought half a dozen sacks of it because it is produced by GRAPOS, a group of 3200 member farmers, many of them women who own or have inherited coffee farms. The acreage is small on average 3-7 hectares and the cooperative pays a premium back to the women who contribute to the lot.
This coffee is dark roasted, mild in nature, citric with cocoa (not chocolate) flavour. Processing method: Washed Altitude grown: 900-1850 masl Variety: Bourbon, Mundo Novo, Caturra, Catuai
