Coffee from Central Kenya’s highlands has long set the global benchmark for vibrant, structured washed coffees. Grown in rich volcanic soil near Thika, these farms benefit from cool nights and steady rainfall, allowing cherries to mature slowly and develop concentrated sugars. The SL28 cultivar — prized for its resilience and exceptional cup quality — is a cornerstone of Kenya’s reputation in specialty coffee.

Harvested twice yearly, cherries are hand-selected at peak ripeness and fully washed, then dried carefully on raised beds. The AA designation refers to the large, dense bean size (17–18 screen), often associated with clarity and intensity in the cup.
