Coffee from Yemen’s Ismaili region is as historic as it gets—grown on terraced stone mountainsides and sun-dried on flat rooftops, much like it has been for centuries. This is one of the oldest cultivated coffees in the world, predating espresso itself and shaping the very idea of coffee culture. The Ismaili profile is bold and rustic, marrying dried fruit and spice with leathery, earthen richness. Roasted to a medium, it makes for a powerful espresso, Turkish brew, or a deeply satisfying French press, carrying the unmistakable taste of history in your cup.
